When i was younger i used to look up at these televangelist and be so jealous of the connection they had with God. Take for instance Benny Hinn, the miracle maker. He can heal the sick with a flick of his wrist. I was so amazed at his powers that i always wished i had them too. My father is a pastor so i would always ask him how he got those powers. But then as i got older i learned that he made a lot of money as a pastor because form my personal experience i didnt know many pastors that made over a million dollars a year. That was ridiculous. Benny Hinn apparantly goes on many shopping sprees has a multi-million dollar home and even a private jet. After i learned that i did not respect him anymore. As a pastor one must live humbly but this Benny, is a multimillionaire. I heard he doesnt even donate much money which is ridiculous. I dont know but i am quite dissapointed in him.

Remember my earlier post about a teacher who was arrested for naming a teddy bear in her classroom Muhammad? Well, she is finally free and now has been moved to a safe area. Gillian Gibbon, the school teacher, was put in jail for 15 days and was finally released. There was a mob outraged at her for naming a teddy bear, Muhammad, and they demanded her execution. Ms. Gillan said that she didnt want anyone resenting the muslims for the protest. I think that the Muslims that were angry apparently didnt know the entire story. Im guessing she was asking the children to name the class mascot and one of the kids wanted to name it Muhammad. I guess she should have been more cautious but she didnt think much of it. I dont know how this got blown out of proportion and how anyone would want to kill someone over allowing a teddy bear to be named Muhammad. But after reading and researching all the religious news in the world i have come to understand that people have belief in their religion on different levels. There are extreme Christians as well as extreme Muslims and there is not much one can do about it. We cannot blame the religion because the central theme of most religions are to love your God and love your neighbor. It is the individuals that create destruction and death and that is what the worlds needs to realize. One cannot hate another religion, but only respect it. Without that respect for one another, the religious wars will never, ever end.

In Russia, there is a group of cult members that have dug underground and have locked themselves in a shelter. They were following the orders of Father Pyotr, the leader of the sect called "the true Russian Orthodox church". Apparently there is food, and materials to last them through may 2008, when the Apocalypse is going going to occur. The authorities cannot get them out because they say that they will blow themselves up if anyone tries to force them out. The funny thing is that the sect leader did not go with his followers into the shelter. Instead he is with the authorities undergoing psychiatric examinations. I feel sorry for these people, but also want to laugh at them. Why would they follow such a leader that they didnt know much about. The church was only set up two years ago and they just follow his leadership like dumb sheep. This seems to be a reoccuring theme in cults that believe in the end. The followers either die but the leader almost never does. It seems ridiculous that these people would follow suit. There has to be someone in that shelter that is beginning to realize that what they are doing is just plain ridiculous. Apparantly, Father Pyotr, had the vision of the Apocalypse in a dream and that he will not convince his followers to come out. This guy must be psycho because he doesnt seem to also realize that it is only Novenmber and there is still a lot of time left until may. I would think he was really sure of his dream he wouldn't have made his followers go underground so early. Negotiations are stilll going on with the followers in the shelter but still no progress. Im sure someone will realize that what they are doing is just crazy.

Two sisters kill uncle for wearing trousers?

In Iraq, a man and his wife were killed in front of their children by his own two nieces. The reason? Because he was wearing American trousers during prayer. What the hell is going on in this world. I could never imagine killing my own uncle because he was wearing shorts while praying. What would provoke his nieces to do such a horrible thing. And it wasnt only him but his wife and also in front of his children. That is some sick stuff. But its a good thing that some Iraq communities are not happy about this. SOME?! Some communities?! Every should be in outrage about this ridiculous act of murder. I know that these murderers definitely do not speak for the other people living there. The Iraqs there should be horrified that someone in their own family could do such a horrible thing. Another funny fact is that the United states apparantly sent 5,000 troops home. Hurray! Not really, seems like they are sending another 20,000 over to Iraq. This war does not seem justified because it cannot be ended with force. The only way for it to end in Iraq is for American Troops to withdraw. There is not point in them being there because they do not promote much peace, only more anger in Iraq. I feel sorry for the Iraq people because many of them die that we dont hear about in America. God Bless America!

Finally Someone is smart enough to ban Scientology. I am so happy that the Germans have taken the initiative to ban those stupid scientologists. I really dont understand how that "wannabe" religion is still existing. Hamburg's security officals have decided that Scientology "violates human rights". It definitely does because who in the world believes that Aliens will come and take us away to outerspace and how devices can somehow train energy waves and create peace in the mind. It seems that the U.S. seems to defend this cult and seems afraid to do anything against it. Maybe the US is scared because there are a couple of celebrities in the cult. I say, after Germany bans this ridiculous cult, America and the rest of the world should follow suit. I am really hoping that Germany bans this cult and points out to the world how ridiculous Scientology is.

Against Gay Bibles...

I understand that the Homosexualuality is becomming more accepted in the world, but to rewrite the Bible so that it accepts homosexuality should not be allowed. I am completely against this notion and I am happy that the major chrsitian bookstores agree with me too. How could one change the verse of the Bible, in Leviticus 18:22 that says“You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female. It is an abomination.”? I dont mind that Homosexual people live in this world but they cannot change the fact in the Christian Bible to fit their needs. The Bible was written 1000's of years ago and it cannot be changed to fit what some homosexuals want. I am not judging homosexuals in any way or trying to say if homosexuality is right or wrong. I am just stating that in the Bible, it says males do not lie with other males, and someone cannot change the Bible to fit their needs. Dr Nyland tries to say that that verse doesnt mean a male and male interaction but "anal penetration" or something about "angels sleeping with humans". That is some ridculous thing to say. It says Male should not sleep with male in the Bible, and that is the way it should stay in the bible.

Dennis Lindberg

Dennis Lindberg was a 14 year old leukemia patient that was also a jehovah's witness that did because he didnt want a blood transfusion. The blood transfusion would have gave him a 70% survival rate but Dennis didnt want to have another person's blood inside him. It seems that his biogical parents who didnt have custody of Dennis wanted him to have the transfusion but he still rejected it. Dennis' aunt, his legal guardian, respected his decision and the judge's. Imagine how hard it was for the judge to allow Dennis to reject the treatment or allow Dennis to go against his religion. I dont know if the judge picked the right choice but he did what Dennis wanted to do. I dont know much about Dennis' religion but it is kind of amazing tht a young boy would risk his life for his religion. It makes me feel kind of week and not strong in my own. Dennis seems like an amazing boy and i respected the decision he made not to go through with the transfusion. I guess he thought if he died and did the transfusion, God would not allow him to enter heaven. But man, if i was 14 years old, i think I would still have the transfusion. What a brave boy.

Tony Conrad used to be a very faitful man and even went doorstep to doorstep trying to convert people to christianiy and sell them bibles. He says he was attacked and ridiculed his entire saleman career. He then met a woman who was a witch and she gave him a book that helped him realize that religion was a way to control the people's minds without resistance. He knows does a comedy show called "The Comedy Jesus Show" which go around the country to make fun of religion. Its kind of funny to think that one book could change the entire life of a man. He said he was a die hard christian always trying to convert his friends to christianity by the age of eleven. I dont think that someone like that could convert so easily and become an anti-religious man. Maybe the witch put a spell on him or maybe he got hit too hard by one of his customers, but its seems very unbelievable that after all those years of evangelizing he would change after reading one book. Tony Alamo is Back!

Tony Alamo is a minister who was put in jail for tax evasion charges and now lives in Foukem Arkansis. Many of the people in that town believe that his church is a cult and have many suspicions. Alamo enforces strict policies on his followers and most of them live in the same compound as the church. Alamo orders them to live on the compound with little interaction with the outside world. They followers' kids are attend a school inside the compound and are not exposed to outside world materials. Apparently he is also in suspicion of child abuse and has a history of confiscating the children of followers who left the church. I think this guy is nuts! What he doing creating a cult for christianity. Christian ideals are to spread the word of the gospel not keep it in a compound. There was also a news story saying that he demanded that a child of a follower be spanked over a hundred times. What a nut! the more crazier thing is that he has 300 followers. I dont understand what is wrong with people that are involved in a cult. Cant they see what they are doing is just insane?! The funny thing is that Alamo is over seventy years old and he has so much power over his followers. He should be put in an insance asylum along with all his followers. There is even said to be security cameras and security personal on site. I think if they were to open up their compound and show what they were doing there would be less suspection, but who knows, maybe he is planning something big. At least he smart enough not to leak the information out.

Jesus Christ has an Evil Twin...in India?!

So a German flimaker, Robert Sigl, is making a movie called "the 13th disciple" which apparently focuses on Jesus' evil twin brother who is head of a sect in present day India. Mario Stefan, the producer in the film, expects that there will be no controversy because Jesus is not the main character but is a background character. He believes that because he will make it clear that the film is fiction there will be no problems. Well...buddy..you will definitely have some problems. Besides that fact that there is a religious war going on, who would think about a movie that features Jesus having an "evil twin brother". Trust me, this will not go well with the Christians in the world today. There is a reason why even the "Da vinci Code" had a problem with christian viewers even though it was a fictional story. I truthfully didnt mind reading and watching "Da Vinci Code", but trust me a lot of other people will. I just hope the director doesnt get hurt because i know that once people find out he will get a lot of hate. So maybe i will watch this movie because it sounds ridiculous. There was an exorcism that occured village of Wainuiomata where, Janet Moses, a 22 year old woman was killed and a 14 year old girl has her eyes gouged out. The family believed that because Ms. Moses had stolen something she was under a curse. Elders believed that to heal the curse the victim must have their eyes must be scratched out and water had to be forced down their throat. After Ms. Moses dies, the family believed that the spirit had entered a 14 year old cousins body and her eyes were also scratched out. She was sent to a hospital trying to attempt to gain her vision back. The police dont know how to handle this case because this is a case that deals with religious customs. That is a big problem even in the US today. The government still doesnt know how to handle religious cases because they are more sensitive issues. What the U.S. needs to do is really separate religion and the government. In that way, all people in America can be punished the right way. There is no equality if the government shows favor to a religious group, it only causes more problems. So separation of church and Government is crucial.

I was going through religious news quite dissapointed about televangelist and pastors who seem to be making a tremendous amount of money and living a lavish lifestyle. I was wondering if there was a televangelist out there who lived his life modestly despite them money and the fame. And finally I came across one man who should be the prime example of televangelists everywhere. Joel Osteen, one of the world's most reknown televangelist is a rare breed of televangelsits. He lives very modestly for 13 years in a one story house, has no private jet, and has been drivicing the same car for nine years that he received from his father. Osteen hasnt asked for salary from his church for two years and never asks for money when he evangelizes on TV. He says that he makes enough money from his books and likes to live a normal life. He doesnt comment on other minister but chooses to believe tht best out of them. Now here is a man that i can truly respect. He is expected to make about over $80 million dollars but lives a very humble life. He puts other televangelists who live an extreme lavish life to shame. He should have all of the other televangelist gather and show them how a real minister should live. He does not exploit money and seems to be content in life with what he has. Joel Osteen has given me hope for televangelists, that one day, they will no longer be corrupt with greed and money...but for now he is one of the very few.

Lion's Quarterback Jon Kitna's Faith

John Kitna claims that it is his belief in God that has helped him and his teamates achieve a winning record. He claims that prayer and belief in God has made his team a winner. He says that he wasnt always like that and before he was a alcoholic and a womanizer but after his girlfriend caught him cheating, and left him for church, he followed suit. Now he says he is been happily married for 14 years to his wife, never swears, and is able to lead his team. The lions have been having a losing streak until this season where Kitna has made them a competitive team. There has been a lot of skeptecism, but in my opinion, good for Kitna! If religion and faith makes you feel better as a person and lead a more happy life, than religion has done its job. Kitna leads a very happy life with a very happy family and a successful career and if he believes that God gave him all that, I am very glad for him. The even more amazing this is that the football team's bible service has expanded from a handful of players to almost twenty. I believe that Kitna is doing what he feels is right and if he is doing it with faith and morals i see nothing detrimental of him publicising his faith.

138 Islamic leaders world wide called Christian leaders to discuss their religions to find a common ground and peace. The Muslim leaders believe that this recognition of both religions can help loosen the hostility betweent he two religions. They said that both religions are in common in that they both believe in one God and love to their neighbors. I believe that this was a very courageous move for the Islamic leaders because by doing this they put their own lives at danger. This holy way has been going on so long because the two sides have not gotten together and talked about their problems. They just assume that once one of the sides win the war, there will be peace. But by creating this stage to talk about the similarities and differences it can show the entire world what common beliefs they both have. I respect the Muslims leaders as a christian because they want to end the war and they understand that understanding both religions are the only way to truly end the war. I believe that this forum should have been discussed earlier and publicized more greatly to show that Christians and Muslims can live together peacefully. I just dont know why the Church didnt think of this earlier. I guess they were too busy with sex scandels, banning kneeling at church, and trying to control the voter...

In Alaska, there has been a settlement of $50 million for sexual abuse by priests and missionaries of the Jesuits. The $50 million dollars was basically a pay-off to the remote villagers of Alaska to release all claims. None of the priest or missionaries were chardged nor admitted to the crime. It seems that a lot of eskimos have kept this secret to themesleves a long time and have only told what happened after the blowing up of sex scandels in california. I dont understand why these people that molest these people do not get criminally charged. The church feels no effect of these charged because they are simply just paying these victims off and not admitting to any guilt. The church should be disgraceful for what they did and admit to theit faults instead of covering their own tracks. If any of these priests have even touched my kids, i would not agree to settlement for any amount of money but instead lead a crusade for the acceptance of the church that what they did was wrong and they would put up measures to stop this from ever happening again. If child molesters really wanted to find kids to molest, it seems the easiest way to do so is become a priest.

Catholc voters who support candidates who support abortion are consided evil by Catholc Bishops. They said that if one votes for "assualts on human lives" they are guilty of cooperation with evil. The bishops claim that it is not a "voter guide" but instead "to help form consciences for political life". Once again this is bullshit from the church. They claim that it is not a guide but they even wrote an entire statement called "Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship: A Call to Political Responsibility", which seems to me a voters guide. They say that the voter's decisions on earth will affect their salvation in heaven. The church is once again trying to control its members with brain washing. If saving lives was the main concern then how come the war in Iraq has been going on so long? I think the church needs to focus on not controlling the future but trying to figure out and help the present. The church should not have any power in the government because that was the reason we went to Irag to start a holy war. The Church needs to leave itself out of government because this only causes problems between what is right in the religion versus what is right for this country. This is something George Bush also needs to learn.

Laws against Kneeling during Service

So I guess the Catholic Church is having problems with the people that are kneeling druing the wrong time during mass. The Church says that it wants to pull away from the feudal days of worship and others believe that kneeling is the absolute adoration of God. The church has sent letters to its members that say that they need to stop kneeling or leave the church. I think this is ridiclulous because why does it matter if one kneels or stands during mass. It should be an individual connection with God, so if someone feels like standing they stand and if they feel like sitting, they sit. I dont want to bash on the catholic religion but there seems to be too many rules that make it harder for one to worship God. Its like all free expression is cut off in the catholic religion. One can worship God, but must only do it in the way the cahothlic church says one can. I believe that God would not care much for whether one kneels or stands but more about what's in the persons heart. I think its a stupid thing to ban kneeling during mass and just one of the stupid things that the Catholic church needs to let go of. Its not wortj losing memebers of the church just because they kneel during prayer.

In Arizona, there is a man there who claims he can do exorcisms and is making a lot of money doing them. Bob Larson is a self-proclaimed and self-taught exorcist that says he can rid demons out of people's bodies. He believes that he can see the devil by just looking into someone eyes. He has opened up his $1.2 million church and now even has a waitlist for people wanting an exorcism. He says he has performs over 10,000 exorcisms and has a pilot TV show coming out showing his exorcisms on TV. He believes that Hollywood is the place that needs the most exorcisms and says that he will go there. I have never witnessed an Exorcism myself but its seems like it should be regarded more personally with the victims. I dont think that Larson needs to publically acclaim himself as the "exorcist" and by doing this he loses more credibility. I think real exorcists would rather be in the private because i dont believe that its a fun job chasing demons out of a body. If i had to do that for the rest of my life, i think i would be a very tried man. I think this Larson is corrupted like all the other televangelists and needs to straighten out his greed and and his religion.

So now that were done with priests sexually attacking little kids, the nuns seem to have done it also. The Sisters of the Nazareth house are accused of sexual torture and assualts. They have been accused by 17 women who claim they were tortured and sexually abused by the nuns that resided there. Some of the things they said the nuns would do were rub vicks in their genitals ans stick object in them, keep them locked up, and also feed them spoiled food. It is not strange for me why these things have been happening in the Catholic church. It is because just like the priests, these nuns are not allowed to be married. As these nuns get older they have a yearning for sexual desires, but cannot fulfill them because they church does not allow them to. Instead they must release their sexual desires on someone else, the easiest targets would be the kids. Kids do whatever they are told and dont know what is wrong from right. I think its a honorable thing to devote your life to God and him only, but you can also love someone else and still be a firm believer in God. I think this is a problem the catholic church will face for a very long time, with no solution available.

In Italy, Church authorities had decided that one of the religious teachers is too attractive and dresses too sexy to teach the religion class. Caterina Bonci says that she had been teaching for almost 14 years when the church just decided to fire her. The church also says the reason for her getting fired was because she was divorced and the church did not promote divorce. Bonci says that she has never kept her divorce secret from the church and that qualification is more important than appearance. I think the church is thinking the wrong way about this. If I had an attractice teacher for religion i think i would pay attention in class more. I would actually want to go to religion class! There are not many kids that would want to go to Bible class and sit there all day listening to a boring old 60 year old teacher. I think a younger more attractice teacher would want to make the kids learn even more. And also, even if the teacher was divorced what kinf of affect does that have on her experience as a teacher. She has been teaching for 14 years and that should be more credible than any divorce. She has my vote to be a teacher.

Three Neo-nazi carved a swastika into a 17-year old girl who was trying to help an 6-year old immigrant girl pestered by them. The Neo-nazis grabbed the girl and carved a Nazi symbol into her hip. She ran away right before they were about to slash her face. She said there were people watching from the balcony, but they didnt do anything. I think its pathetic that no one would do anything even when a 17-year old tried to stop them by herself. Its not even a question that Neo-nazis are crazy bastards and no one likes them. It was three kids and no one wanted to help the two girls in trouble. Its that fear of power that causes these stupid and patheic groups to rise in power. There is a man, Zack Beck, who wants to hold a meeting for his church to recruit new members. The only problem is that Zack Beck is a known spokesman for a white supremist church. He claims that there is no problem with this and asks why the big deal. His rationality is that he is not racist, he just promotes racial purity. HAHAHA. This guy is a nut case. He is trying to say he is not racist but promotes racial purity!! WOW. I dont understand his ratinoality. The more funnier thing is that he decides to rent out a building called the McClelland Arts Center because it was next to Victoria Freeman Park named for a pioneer in the black community best known for integrating Longview’s public schools in 1924. If this guy didnt want to promote white supremacy and everyone else knows he does, he is definitely doing it in the wrong place and at the wrong time. Elwood Barlett claims that the Wiccan Gods helped him win the lottery estimated at about $340 million dollars. He said he and his wife were on their way to a witchcraft store when he decided to but two mega million lottert tickets. He says that he made a deal with the Wiccan Gods that if he would he would devote his life towards teaching witchcraft. This is a trend that I have noticed in Religions. When times are bad, people never praise their religion and even talk down on it. But once something in life comes along that makes them happy, they go back to their religion and praise it. I think thats the trend with most religions, when times are good, you spread the word and when times are bad, you keep silent to yourself. Im pretty sure if I was interviewed by the newspaper, I would say how thankful and how great God is to me. There was a Homeless man who was caught stealing a Bible from a Branes & Nobles in White Plains, New York. He was caught by security trying to hide a $16 dollar bible under a plastic bag. He was taken in jail for petty larceny charge. This story is kinf of funny because this homeless man stole a bible and was put in jail. It wasnt like he stole a DVD or a electronic device, but he stole the Holy Bible. I dont know what I would do if I was the managger of that store. As a Christian I would want to give him that Bible and spread the gospel. But as a Manager I would most definitely call the cops. That is a strange situation to be in for a Christian Book store Manager. The funny thing about this story was that when the homeless man went to jail, he received a free Bible. Imagine that, all someone has to do to get a Bible is go to jail. So all you christians out there that need a Bible, dont steal..Just go to Jail and get a free one!

Where is Bin Laden?!

And i still dont understand how we went from chasing Bin Laden into declaring war against Iraq. These past few years after the outbreak of the sex scandels from the priest, the catholic church must be going broke. The Los Angeles Archdiocese payed out about $660 million to 508 different cases of sexual abuse. I thought this was pretty ridiculous and that is one aspect of Catholicism that i do not understand. First of all, why not let the priests get married?! As humans it is natural to satisfy our sexual desires. Think about it, how hard it must have been for priest, that they go to little children to fulfill their own desires. The most shady thing about the church is that once they find out about priest molesting little children they do not suspend them or kick them out of the church. Instead, these priests are transferred to another church so that they can molest more kids. Its a neverending processs that the catholic church needs to reform because they are losing too much money, too fast.

She excused herself from the church as well the the movie Mission Impossible III as well. She said due to scheduling reasons but who would miss out on a movie like Mission Impossible. Im pretty sure it was Cruise freaking her out about his Scientology cult. I mean if i was in her situation i would have slapped Tom and kicked him in the balls. Warren Jeffs

Warren Jeffs is the leader of a mormon religios group in utah. His church belived in polygamy and underage marriage. One of the marriages that he set was between a 14 year old girl and a 19 year old boy. The teenage girl said that she was raped and did not want to have the marriage but was forced to do so. The funny thing is that the actual husband didnt get in trouble but the sect leader, Jeffs, was convicted to 2 consecutive 5-year jail sentences. The thought of polygamy is not right and i dont understand how some religious groups can believe in things like that. Im guessing its because they dont know any better but it should be human to know these things. Im hopinh Jeffs goes to prison for a long time and the practice of polygamy to be over. Jeez...there are crazy people in this world.

So the famous Donald trump burns president bush. He says "President Bush is the worst president". It seems very funny how Donald trump says whatever he wants to say about anything. He seems to love bashing people and he thinks that Bush is just bringing the U.S. down. I think he makes a good point about IRAQ. Because of the war, Iraq is now a breeding center for terrorists. This is a never ending war and cannot be won because this is a religious war and not a terrorist war. Whats the point in fighting a war that we cannot win. Im hoping the next president will handle the iraq situation. No more lying about weapons of mass destruction and threats. We need to pull out and let them fight their own war. So I dont fully understand the concept of scientology. They believe in Aliens and that they will come down from outer space and one day take them back to their home planet?? It all seems pretty ridiculous to me. How could one believe in such craziness? Only in America can it be so accepted....They believe in superpowers...and that they can harness this great power...WTF!!? wow....There are so many celebrities that are in the celebrity scientology church. Can you believe that there is a church just made for the celebrities. I also heard that scientologist hold two metal bars to harness the energy and to clear the mind. pretty crazy...I think the people in the church that believe these things are schizophrenic..and should be in a mental hospital. So i guess some churches are getting desperate with money and there is a pastor n Georgia who came up with the genius idea to put an ATM in the church...IN A CHURCH! That sounds so absurd. Offering in church is something that should be prepared. Its as if the church is sucking all the money it can from its members. An ATM machine in a church...please...come on..They say the kiosks bring in about $200,000 a year. That is pretty amazing how someone can just use the card they bought alcohol with and bring it to church and use it again to pay offereing. I think it is pathetic that this church is doing this. I dunno. Offering should be prepared in advanced and not just be swiped in.

I wanted to talk about Hillary Clinton's laugh or should i say cackle? It seems that she has to laugh after every question or comment. It reminds me a lot of the wicked witch in the wizard of OZ. Religious Lady

I have been watching a lot of youtube these days and i found a clip of a debate on CNN against a Shirly phelps roper, a lady whose church believes that God is angry and is punishing the world for their sins. Her church is against gays, jews, and basically everything that doesnt involve christianity. The funny thing about this arguement was that Roper did not even stutter or lose any words. She kept smiling and answered everything question with a good answer. I am conflicted with this video because as a christian, deep down inside, i know that she is right. There are so many thing that america does that go against the bible and the theology of christian religion. But it makes me feel that doing these radical thing like picketing funerals of dead gay U.S. soldiers only makes christianity more laughable to others. I think their intensions are good but the actions they are taking are making other christians look bad too. here the video and ill also post some pictures.

So It seems like George Bush seems to mess up a lot in his speeches. I found a video that David Letterman did called "Top 10 George Bush moments". I dont truthfully know much about politics and Bush but after watching this clip i realize why people think he is a dumb monkey. He does things that any person with a college education is not supposed to do. He says very stupid things during his speeches. I dont understand how he can mess up! the speech is written for him. It is obviously a bash on christianity but it got me thinking about a lot of things. Why do Atheist hate religion so much. I am a christian myself and i dont see any reason to bash on a religion unless that religion this something personal to you. The term religion seems very vague these days. One can make a religion out of anything. I hear the witches are on the rise and seems like people these days but name brand products as a religion. But having a religion doesnt make a person worse unless the religion it self involves causing pain to others. So Apparently there has been new tactics introduced in the war between religions. This is brand new stuff, a unique new stratedgy, and a totally new concept. In Jerusalem the Jew's are gathering together to create a force so strong that it cant be stopped. It seems the Jew's are now spitting on Christians. Can you believe that?! Spitting?! How come we didnt think of this stratedgy before? We could have save so many lives if only instead of nuclear weapons we used out own human spit! Now lets get a little more serious..it seems that spitting on Christians in Jerusalem is a new trend because according to reports its been going on for awhile. It seems that there is no stopping this new spit stratedgy. However, it seems like the leaders are going to tell the jews to stop spitting on the christians soon...i dont know when, but according to the news, it will stop eventually (or when they meet the quota of spitting). But until then i think the officials should post this sign everyone in Jerusalem. Who knows, it might help...

Being punished for being raped

So I was looking at some religious stories on the web and I came upon a story so ridiculous I had to blog about it. So apparently in Saudi Arabia, a 19-year old girl was given a jail sentence and 200 lashes from a whip because she was a victim of gang rape. When I first read this story i thought it was a joke but it is indeed a true story. Can you image what kind of effect a ruling like that would have in America. If a young lady was gang raped and instead she was punished America would be flipped upside down. The judges said the reason for the harsh punishment was “her attempt to aggravate and influence the judiciary through the media.” Its funny because in America, it is a known fact that the media always gets itself involved. I fell bad for the girl, i guess there is a law in Saudi Arabia that says a woman cannot be with any male beside a male relative. Imagine how hard it would be to pick up a girl on the streets?! I dont know but ths story is pretty damn ridiculous and i feel really bad for the girl. Can you imagine getting hit by one of these 200 times...

This movie is about two brothers who got drafted into the South Korean Army to fight against the North Koreans. It shows how powerful brotherly love is and also how having power can change someone 360 degrees. The older brother goes to war only to protect his own brother but ends up becoming a war hero. This sense of power makes him irrational and makes him forget the whole reason for joining the army which was to watch out for his brother's life. This movie shows how one line can divide two brothers from ever seeing each other for over 40 years. This movie made me think about how government actions can really mess up thousands of individual's life. Even today people in South Korea have not been able to see their families for over sixty years and probably will never get to do so until they die. It disgusts me how politics can keep a nation, like korea, with the same blood and heritage apart. It gets me angry to see how North koreans live because they are, in fact, my brothers ans sisters. We may never be able to meet because of one line, of on war.

My First Blog

I don't know much about politics or what is really going on in this world. In fact, this is the first political science class that I have ever taken at UCI. I started out going to UCI brainwashed by my Korean parents to become a great and rich doctor. I realized that after a year and half of looking at molecules and chromosomes that it really wasn't my thing. So I thought to myself, "what the hell, why not try a class that my parents know nothing about?". And Bada~boom i just decided to try political science out. The truth is i know nothing about politics. I don't even know which political party i belong to or whether the republicans have a elephant or a horse as their mascot. Their mascot could be a tiger and I wouldn't have blinked an eye(btw i know what mascot the republicans are because I looked it up). So if I was asked to write a blog about the NBA or even how to cook Korean food I know that this would be a a very simple task. But through this blogging I hope to achieve an understanding of how our government really works. I'll start off my first blog with some past historical events that had a great impact on me taking interest in politics.

I'm really hoping for the war in Iraq to end soon. Two of my friends are over there and I am worried about them everyday. But its funny, because they are on AIM all the time. And whenever I ask them what their up to, they always say, "nothing" and that they "dont do much". It seems that they clean their guns a lot but dont really use them...hmmm..quite interesting...And for the elections I truthfully don't even care. Because I know Hilary is not going to win, and the other guy i dont know anything about. O well, hopefully whoever is elected can lower the gas prices because my wallet is always empty after i fill up my tank. And 9/11, wow i remember exactly where i was when that happened. I woke up and my mom was calling my cousin in New York and she had a worried look on my face. When i asked her what happened she didnt tell me anything. I didnt find out about the crash until my 3rd period AP Europeon History class...and still i dont know all the details...
